The Western India Regional Council (WIRC) was formed by the Institute and notified by the Central Government in the year 1952 to serve the members and students in the Western Region. It celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in the year 2012 and continues to march ahead with a vision to serve the profession in particular and the society at large.

WIRC is the largest Regional Council of ICAI, serving a vast network of members and students. With its headquarters in Mumbai and branches spread across the region, WIRC plays a pivotal role in organizing professional development programs, knowledge-sharing sessions, student activities, and initiatives for the betterment of the profession.
